how do i get the .torrent thing to work? what do i have to download? i keep trying stuff and it wont work

thanks...but it still doesnt work, tells me that either the file is bad or isnt supported

did u try to use google? nevermind. I use this: http://www.bittornado.com/download.html

D/l the stable one. and install it. Next time you see someone post a bittorrent link, click the link and the program will automatically start d/ling for you.
