If you had everything taken care of. . . WOULD YOU ANNOUNCE IT?

If you had a snag . . . Would you announce it?

I doubt any info until they on the stage with a MING jersey!!

what does it gain u either way?

I would keep everyone in the dark just to keep our options open. Besides, it would be more dramatic for our fans. The NFL draft was VERY boring because of the announcement by the Texans that they were going to select David Carr.

What is the upside to saying something early. There is always a chance something will go wrong, a better deal will occur, or the guy gets caught with an underage male hooker.

    We will know soon enough.

I don't think you can hide your hand in this case. I think once the Chinese government clears Yao, the media will know. And it's not in the Rockets' interests to send any mixed signals to the Chinese just to try to enhance their draft position. And really, if you're set on taking Yao, and you know all the important people in China would be majorly pissed if Yao's not taken #1, what is there to gain by keeping it a secret?
