Anyone have any suggestions on this? How much does it generally cost? Any recommendations of body shops?

I've been thinking about getting my truck re-painted. It's in really good shape and I'd like to drive it for another 5 years or so, but I wouldn't mind it getting a new coat of paint.

    Thanks.

    What year is the truck?

Just remember, you get what you pay for and stay away from Maaco and Earl Shibe.

For a top quality job, expect to pay at least $2,000.

    Uh oh, better get maaco.

Seriously, I have no idea about paint. But I've got a fantastic, cheap mechanic if anyone ever needs one. No offense to Codell, but I believe he's in the Insurance industry now.

So is that supposed to mean I am not qualified on vehicle refinishing?

    Jeff,

Are you positive you need a complete refinish? Unless you just have a ton of damage and wear, you shouldn't need that.

If you just have alot of superficial scratches, I would suggest getting a complete color-sand and buff. Usually you can get this done for under $600.00.

depends on what you want to spend

like I said to Jeff, you want it done right and to factory standards, count on at least $2,000 if not more

I went to South Main Paint and Body (recommended by my mechanic) when the roof of my truck got torn up. Did a great job for half the price of anybody else in half the time.
