I was looking into starting up a small business and selling merchandise and home-made items over the net. The question, does anyone know of a cheap, or relatively cheap, webpage designing company? I can make decent sites, but its time consuming and I would prefer to have it professionally or semi-professionally made. Thanks!

    one site: www.guru.com

you can post your project and within hours, you will have at least 10 bids. This is the single greatest website for freelancers.

I have got several professionally made websites for about $300.

Mr. Brightside, can you post links to the websites you mentioned in your post?

well basically you can do this.

    1) you register for free
    2) post your project for free
    3) see who bids on your project
    4) check the portfolio's of the competing bidders

Also you can browse around various freelancers on that site, if you don't want to place an offer for your website.

But its just easier, to place your offer and see who responds.

I understand the need to stay on a small budget. We're not good for that.

But, keep in mind that many of the freelance type things can be iffy. You get what you pay for as they say.

Has anyone had a site professionally or semi-professionally built, and could you give me a rough estimate of the costs?
