Purchasing a Mac

    My wife is purchasing an Apple iMac 2.0. I've never bought a Mac before, so I was just curious if you have to do anything special in setting it up (unlike a PC where you just plug it in and turn it on). She said the rep at Best Buy mentioned that setting up a Mac was different than a PC. Any insight into this would be much appreciated.

    just turn it on.......all programs are loaded.........all that is needed is registering the computer........after i bought my first mac, i have never bought anything else......enjoy!

    There's the mistake.

    Macs are easy to get going. Just need to take a couple days to get used to the slight differences, including program installs.
