Our current offense is now a running joke on reddit. Cramped spacing, bad shots, being tall = recipe for being an all time great offensive rebounding team. Check. Meanwhile, KD's #s are still elite in nearly every offensive category, yet somehow our first option is someone who can't shoot and excelled in a different role last season, both offensively and defensively, arguably. The Carmelo-era Knicks are a fitting parallel. Carmelo, the anti point-forward, led the team in scoring every year with Amare down low (Sengun) & no help in the backcourt (sorry J.R. Smith). And they were historically bad, sub-.500 team
Knicks JR Smith is better than every guard on this roster and Tyson Chandler was better than every center on this roster. So that means the Rockets are worse than that Knicks team while playing in a tougher conference? Yikes!
