That's funny. I started this exact thread a couple of weeks ago. I don't know how to find it, but I can tell you that the consensus is that there there are no piano bars in Austin like Pete's Piano bar where I'm guessing is where you went. I brought up the topic because I was interested in maybe opening one up there in Houston because I think that the concept would work well in the right location. I own two piano shells that were made for a dueling piano show. Right now, I'm using them to do private parties, but at least I have them in case the right business opportunity presents.

Thanks guys. I went to the one on 6th street (not sure what it's called). I was very pleasently suprised.
Speaking of piano bars, I'm still looking to bring a piano show to some where in the Houston area. If anything, for maybe just one night to see how it goes. Basically, the show is like a dueling piano bar, only there is one piano with a drummer. It's based around sing-along songs that every knows. I mostly take requests and I do some comedy bits like getting people up on the piano to sing funny (sometimes dirty) songs. I've got all of the equipment (the piano and PA) and I'm just looking for a place that a show like that may go over well. We do a show like that at a bar in San Antonio and it kills. I think that it could go over well at the right kind of bar there in Houston, but I'm unfamiliar with the scene there now. So, my question is if any of you guys no a cool bar that might want to try something like that?
