Photoshop query - cd artwork

    know my way around photo 7 reasonably well......

    but how do a start a designing some artwork for a cd... not the cover but actually on the cd....

    ie how do i set the shape/correct size....does photoshop have a template for a cd???

    can anyone help??

    Most CD burning software come with it.

    new document
    -> measure cd size
    -> create document to said size
    -> use oval tool to create template
    -> use the vendor specific printing software to ensure exact printing location
    -or-
    ->export .psd file to bmp/jpg file
    ->create a word processing file with headers/footers/colums specific to labels...........

    Here's a simple template I made a little while ago:

    What I would do is make the transpearancy of the template's layer very low...create you disk design and not worry about going out of the template line b/c you just peel the label off anyways and then you'll have edge to edge printing.

    I only have PS v 5 LE (poor man's PS)...good luck.
