    Has anyone else got, or heard, the new album yet?

    Bought it yesterday and LOVED it on the very first listen, which is a rarity.

    Just a very fun record from the boys.

    Fav tracks early on.

    Amongst the Waves
    Got Some
    The Fixer
    The End

    But just fantastic all the way through.

    I've only heard "The Fixer" and...well...it has to be the worst Pearl Jam song I've ever heard. It sounded like bubblegum rock. I don't know what the rest of the album sounds like but I hope it's better than that song. I was looking forward to seeing them for the first time at ACL. I don't know after hearing that song if it's representative of the rest of the album.

    If your a Eddie Vedder fan check out the Into The Wild
    soundtrack. It's basically a solo album very chill.

    Great sound track and a great movie. Hard Sun is one of my favorite songs, period.

    It's a solid album but not as good as the last one. Amongst The Waves is a fantastic song.

    I read in some magazine that the first 4 songs are boring, and then the album goes nuclear.

    i read the opposite in another magazine. :) well, not exactly the opposite, but they thought the first three songs rocked.

    i've listened to it a couple times and i enjoy it. amongst the waves is my favorite.

    I dont have one (I read it drunk on the subway) but I sorta remember the quote: "if Pearl Jam had the power they would backspace over the first four songs and make song five the first one."

    Something like that.

    I'm still seeing them in Philly around Halloween.

    I guess the writer is entitled to his opinion.

    I think its great the whole way through...nice to see a bit more positive and light hearted stuff coming out of them - they have grown sick of the brooding for the moment.
