This is mega-rediculous when Yao Ming is being talked about with Wilt Chamberlain for the best FG% of all-freaking time!...What's that? He can't continue to shoot over 70% from the field?...Yea Uh-huh...that's what the crits said before he stepped foot in the game...They said him shooting over 70% in the Chinese league is irregardless since he can't do this in the NBA...Well guess what kids?...He is doing it and doing it well...Just pass him the ball and watch him shoot...Is it a flukish? Is it a bizarro consequence of players not respecting him? I don't think so...In fact, players have been itching to knock Ming down since game 1...The scary thing is that when Ming is aggressive, he could be as unstoppable as Godzilla on a pissed off rampage!

It could be the only one who can stop Ming(in time) is Ming himself...

Or an agressive zone defense that packs the lane and forces the other four players to hit the outside shots. Sound familiar?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Yao had what? two (or three) shots last night. The rest of the times his teammates delivered him the ball directly at the rim.

I call that looking for the big man.

It is more important that this team create chemistry to sustain a Motion Offense. Last night was the first time (even preseason), where I saw it. It was beautiful. All five players (yes, including Mobley) acting as one...and what did it deliver...several easy buckets to Yao at the rim.

I don't want Yao's offense to turn into Hakeem's...it is not good for Yao or Steve. This offense needs to deliver easy buckets. You do a little motion and Yao has shown that he can eventually shield his man and he's at the freaking rim.

I don't want to see a hall of famer PG in the making dribble the ball down and dump it into Yao as a primary offense. No freaking way. Save that for the 4th Q or when you need to bust out of a funk. The Yao is too good to just use him like Hakeem. Boy, that sounds weird, doesn't it.

I agree with hp .We need a multi-faceted attack.I too was impressed with the ball movement last night, best we've seen in two years.Last thing we need is to become a dump it into Yao type offense.

Just wait until Ming starts hitting those mid-range jumpers with some consistency..talk about opening up some lanes :)

I'm willing to bet money that Cat does not got 0-8 again for a long time. That is one of the main reasons Mavs were able to zone up like that.
