Anyone know of any part time office jobs in Dallas? Something that includes filing, some typing, allowances for internet and Clutch City, etc. I'd prefer the legal field, but am willing to branch out. I'm looking for 20-25 hours a week at a minimum of $9/hr.

    Thanks.

    Dear RM95:

Thank you for your request. Unfortunately, we have no jobs for you here. We are all stuck up and very snobby. We have learned you don't drive a BMW, and, thus, we're not real interested in having you join our community.

We suggest you try Houston. They have plenty of jobs there.

    Sincerely,

    Tex

P.S. We hate Dave Matthews, too!

Apparently none for first year attorneys.

Sweet. That means next tour the AA Center should be empty except for me and RM95's Girl!! Maybe I can convince MadMax and Vengeance to make the drive up!!

    1. you're right...i know more than a few attorneys who are having a tough time getting a job right now...one just finished S. Texas in the top 15% of his class, and he can't find a job! That's pretty scary.

    2. As much as I'd like to join you at the AA Center for Dave, alas, I can not. For I am allergic to Dallas.

    3. If you end up even hinting that you've developed a rooting interest in any Dallas sports team, I'm afraid our friendship will be shaken to its very core.

I have a friend that lives in Dallas and goes to school there and she was looking for a decent, part-time job.

She actually got a job at a hotel being a receptionist and running the front desk.

The hotel industry is booming in Dallas/Ft. Worth and they are all looking for employees.

I'm not sure what she started off making, but she makes close to $10.50 and hour now, and she's been working there for about a year.

She said since there is always someone at the front desk, 24 hours a day at hotels, they really work with you on shifts, since there are 24 hours to split up amongst employees. Plus you get bonuses for working a certain number of late shifts.

I know she tries to work as many hours as possible, but they often don't let her go over 40 cause they don't want to pay overtime.

I know that when she started working, she only had time for about 20 hours a week and they were more than willing to accomodate her.

She works at a Fairfield I think, but not quite sure about that.

    Check into it.

I've also heard that receptionists and non-medical staff at Doctor's offices and other Medical offices such as Dentists pay well and are looking for people.

The only one I'm allowed to develop is for the Stars.

I'm even getting a Texans license plate.

Thanks for the suggestion Supermac34, I may look into it. The problem is, I'm looking for a pretty specific time to coincide with RM95's Girl's job and also my main job.

Yeah, forgot to add that if it's a law firm job, make sure they won't make me bill my hours. I can get all my work here done in like 30 minutes a day, so I spend the rest of my time here, and I don't have to bill my work.
