To kind of break the trade talk for awhile I am wondering what happened to Omar Sneed? I know this is the ROcket forum but I think this fits here since he was in the Rocky Mountain Summer League in 2001. And I believe if we do trade for TMac and need a power forward, why not give him a shot?

I was a huge fan of his in College and I think he could have helped out at forward in Houston the last few years. I searched the net for him but couldnt find a roster with his name on it. The latest I found on him was from 2001 from I believe Germany.

Anyway, I always thought he just needed ONE break, and I dont think he ever really got his chance. There is no doubt in my mind he could perform at this level. TO me he is a poor man's Elton Brand. Not a show stopper but someone who could be a steady performer.

Any idea what he is up to or WHY on earth he couldnt catch on with the NBA?

Apparently he is having some success in England. http://www.london-towers.co.uk/players_l3.html

On an aside, I actually didn't realize/remember that this guy was from Beaumont. I went to Jr. High with some of his relatives (I'm not sure if they were siblings or cousins). He was a couple of years younger than I so I did not know him.
