    Well he's a buffoon, so let's start there.

    I would have had Brown start Thursday vs Toronto on regular rest. I would have also pushed back Valdez to Monday. The end result:

    Vs Texas
    Mon Valdez
    Tue Brown
    Wed Alexander

    Vs Seattle
    Fri Javier
    Sat Valdez
    Sun Brown

    That's 5 of the 6 games being started by your best 3 options by far.

    It was all set up on a tee, I don't get how he totally flubbed this, but he did.

    To get only 1 start each from Brown and Valdez next week is managerial malpractice. And will result in the Astros missing out on the playoffs altogether.
