This is quite a bit more sickening that Janet's Boob It IMO has a more physical reaction that nudity I find it RIDICULOUSLY filthy how is it ok . . but a boob isn't Just curious of your opinions Rocket River
well iguess the main reason is you expect to see crazy things on fear factor so you can turn it off. The superbowl on the other hand is for families so you do not expect to see a womans breast.
gross out stuff is not considered immoral..or unmoral..or whatever kinda morality( or lack thereof) it is that offends the religious types that inevitably complain to the fcc. whereas....they all seem to have a real problem with seeing the human body without clothing....particularly the "naughty" parts....afterall.....children may be forever warped by seeing someone's boob....or ass... btw....keep in mind that only 1/3 of any given Fear Factor is a gross part..the other 2/3s are normally physical stunts. Unless of course you watch the "gross out" Fear Factor(which had all 3 of the stunts gross) btw btw....Im pretty sure that the same people that complain tot he FCC about nudity and violence on TV probably complain about Fear Factor....but there isnt a existing standard in TV that relates to that....unless you are thinking of the "Good taste" standard...and that was voluntary on the networks part...and has no relevence anymore since very few shows on TV are in "good taste".
this is mostly true, though it can be argued that if you've ever watched Janet Jackson video's or concerts...well, it doesn't seem to be that family oriented...plus, it isn't good. My guess is that over half of the people upset about the Superbowl incident didn't even see it when it happened. As for Fear Factor, I don't really see anything obscene about it except for the fact that you have to have large, fake boobs or a six pack to even be on the show. Eating disgusting stuff or hanging from a ladder on a helicopter...crazy, but obscene?
umm....Im a little unsure what kind of p*rn you have seen....or is it that you have never actually seen Fear Factor? regardless of what you hear....it is only a group of people doing weird and crazy stunts inan effort to win money.....not all the girls are scantily dressed(a majority of them during water stunts, but not any less clothing than you see on the street)...and they arent all huge boobed bimbos.... but....it does come down to taste versus obscene....and imo Fear Factor is far from obscene.
well .. it is showing acts that could provoke a negative physical reaction I know i nearly threw up watching it once It is not about them having sexy folx on it It is more Why is it ok to Gross someone out to the point of Throwing up but Showing sex/p*rn/etc worse than that? Rocket RIver
The Discovery Health channel can gross you out to the point of throwing up. I seriously think using that as a metric of what should and shouldn't be on tv would be a bad idea. At the end of the day, this should be about the children. If it weren't for the kids, then they shuold be able to put anything on tv whenever - as an adult you can decide what to and not to watch. Kids on the other hand are so impressionable and by default less responsible. So, does Fear Factor have a serious negatvie impact on kids from a moral, ethical or legal perspective from watching it?? I don't think so. If it makes one or two throw-up, then there is no reason to keep watching, especially given the expectation of the same type of stuff being on every episode.
I don't care, but let's be honest, Fear factor has ramped up the sex appeal generously. They have also amped up the gross out factor (except for the supermodels who eat straberries while flies buzz around - wussy). I don't watch anymore because of the gross out factor. But the remote allows me to do that. I don't think they have crossed any lines just yet.
ok....well...I think just about everyone knows that if you watch Fear Factor you are gonna see something gross at one point or another...right? then they are perfectly capable of changing the station to something else...true? it isnt like they all the sudden popup a gross thing with no warning....when they go to the second "stunt", they show the people walking to the location....discussing their mindsets...and then before they ever show anyone doing anything disgusting...they go to commercial...by that point....anyone watching knows it is gonna be something gross.....they have plentry of warning to change the channel......if they continue to watch and get grossed out...it is on them...they chose to continue watching. It isnt up to the rest of the world to make allowances for someone's sensibilities....if you cant handle it...use the technology...pick up the remote...and change the channel... I recognize that there are people that cant handle what others can...but nobody is forcing them to watch....the warning is there...at the beginning of the show, they can easily find something else to watch...
Well, its a matter of obscenity's legal definition, referenced in the 1973 case: Miller vs California. The honorable judge Zachary DesAultes points out that because I just brought up a fictional case of obscenity, my intelligence and knowlege is automatically considered more correct and esteemable than yours.
you know damn good and well The Honorable Zachary has no license to practice in the US. but he does have good taste in women...so I could cut him some slack.
