I haven't heard this before but maybe someone can tell me why NJ doesn't try to go after mourning with a MLE? Does NJ not have one? I figure if Kidd wants to play with Mourning so badly why not ask Rod to see if he can pick him up either MLE or sign and trade with the Heat. He would definitely be a great addition to the Nets.

Because they already have Mutombo & his huge deal, Jason Collins as a servicable backup, and Nenad Krstic coming over from Europe after a stellar season. They don't really need him.

Mutombo proved to be a liability to their offense yet making them a bit stronger defensively. What about a sign and trade. Ship off Mutombo to Riley's more slow paced half court offense for Mourning and extra pieces to make the trade work. Is that not a possibility?
