Dead Zone - looking good so far. The Precog thing is IN this year [see Minority Report, Odessey 5] The movie was great . . the show seems to be doing well [anthony Mike Hall is no Chris Walken but .. . ] I will watch it through the summer. . . help it out and see where it goes. . . hopefully the quality stays up Dead Zone - Sundays 9pm Central - USA Odessey 5 - Showtime - Seem ok - trying to feel it out. The premise is folx go back in time to stop a disaster [think 7 days except the only go back ONCE and it is 5 yrs b4 the incident] they have to find out what causes the incident and try to prevent it. the 1st show is ok. . .. but could have been better I dunno if it is a mini series or not. Peter Weller is in it Rocket River
I checked out a rerun of the Odyssey 5 pilot last night. It was a bit flat, but somewhat engaging (don't all pilots suck?). The ending was very anti-climatic, but it did set up the mystery behind Earth's destruction. Unfortunately, I missed the first 15 minutes, so I couldn't figure out how Peter Weller's son went from druggy slacker to astronaut (and in space, not just in training) in five years time. Same goes for the ex-reporter chick. Weller was decently good, but his character reminded me of Buckaroo Banzai mixed with a good ole boy. Overall, the series has a pretty cool concept, and I see ample room for character development and plot twists. Will it fly? Not sure, but it beats the heck out of Total Recall 2020 (mercifully cancelled a while back). How Showtime lost Stargate:SG1 to Sci-Fi is beyond me...
