I have 2k14 for Xbox one. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get Melo to Houston while keeping our main core. Basically simulating the scenario of us getting rid of Lin+Asik+Motiejunas and bringing on Anthony.

    Can anyone help me out?

There is no trade override on Xbone.

You probably can't simulate this at all once you've started a season.

I don't think the players in NBA 2K series take pay cuts in free agency.

The bigger issue is that teams in video games don't trade the way they do in real life.

Yea, I can't figure out a way to trade for him or even to clear up cap room to sign him. Not sure how to edit the roster or turn on trade override. To my knowledge, neither of those are possible.

Neither is possible once you've started the season or MyCareer. You'd have to do it before hand in the NBA Today Section.

If you need to do that (you probably know how, but just in case) click NBA Today when you are at the main menu, hit b to open up the menu with quick game and then select roster creator. Create the new roster and then when you start your new season make sure to select custom roster.
