there is a dog park up here in austin where I take my cairn terrier, chico. its got a stream that runs thru it and its relatively shallow so he doesn't have to swim thru a lot of it. anyhow when the dogs start running he tries to chase them. he ends up tearing up his pads on his feet after awhile on the dried up rock stream bed. it doesn't hurt him until after he stops and he doesn't stop because he is a r****d. today he was trying to chase down a great dane and take away the rope toy from him lol. anyhow...is there anything you guys know of that I can do to prevent this or do you think his pads will eventually get calloused enough so he doesn't tear them anymore? btw this is the second time this has happened.
robbie380's knee is still recovering from microfracture and acl reconstruction. but even if I could run with him he gets too hot when we are away from the water. so he gets the most exercise at the dog water park.
you ever been to the Millie Bush park in Houston? It was rated the best dog park in all of America this past year. I was there earlier today. About 70 dogs at one time!
nope I haven't. next time I am back in town I think I will check it out. where is it at? I am from west houston so that's where I stay when I come back.
Just get him these: But afterwards all the other dogs will make fun of him and probably hump him to show their dominance.
lol my gf would buy those if she saw them. for halloween she bought him this stupid ladybug costume. i swear she wants to turn our dog into a drag queen.
