I'm in the middle of moving my office today...which is great, because I'm moving much closer to home. But I'm just waiting for the glitches...for the phone system not to work...or our server to not connect with everyone...or...or...or....etc. The good thing is that next week is slow anyway, with Christmas and the rest of the upcoming holidays. Any of you ever move an office from one place to another?
When I stopped coaching, my classroom got moved from next to the Gym to clear across the campus and upstairs. That SUCKED!!!
i've been in this office space for about 3 1/2 years now...cleaning out my desk drawers and credenza has been like a history lesson
When I first got my job here, I lived by Willowbrook Mall and my office was on Allen Parkway and Waugh. I hated the drive in every morning, so I moved to The Heights. Life was good, I went home for lunch every day, I could get to and from work in 10 minutes etc. About a month after I moved, they called everyone in my department together....and announced that we were relocating to the call center...in Greenspoint...ten minutes from my original apartment
This is too weird. My first job after college was at a law firm at Memorial and Waugh. I was living in Kingwood and soon after moved to a nice little house in the Heights. I had a 5 minute commute in the morning, and because my last responsibility of the day was delivering docs to a courthouse, I often was at my doorstep at quiting time. Then the firm moved to Greenspoint after 2 years. There was alot of boxing up of stuff (and as part of the file clerk staff, I had to help the attorneys and paralegals as well) and it took a little while to feel comfortable in the new office. Howeve, I now had a window, so I was happy.
yeah...i think what scares me most, and something you'll have an appreciation for, is pleadings getting sent to my old address and then not being forwarded on to my new one... that...and clients sending in checks to my old address, and those not being forwarded on, either! i don't envy my staff today!

The last two days we spent moving our offices which we had been in for the past 10 years. What a nightmare. Good Luck Max.
