Saw this at an advance screening last night at River Oaks. I had been looking forward to it for awhile just for the animation alone. The film didn't dissapoint. The combination of rotoscoping and the 3d modeling was well done. I'm not a huge fan of black and white; but that style fit better within the context of the film, as it's essentially a film noir. The story was engrossing, though there were a few cringeworthy moments. The only bad thing though is I felt it could have been so much more; but as it is, it's quite frankly, fairly forgettable. That's not a bad thing, as I definitely enjoyed myself, but I don't have a desire to watch it again, much like Sin City (which I also liked).
