Higher than Golden State this week.

    2. Houston Rockets
    2016-17 record: 30-9
    Previous ranking: 3[IMG]

The NBA has never witnessed a season in which two players accounted for at least 20 triple-doubles. But James Harden is up to 10 triple-doubles -- only seven behind Russell Westbrook -- with 43 games left on the Rockets' schedule. Besides that glittering 19-2 mark since Dec. 1, what's helped Houston climb to a season-high No. 2 is the increasing dominance of its bench. The rest of the Rockets are shredding opposition benches by 14.1 points per 100 possessions with Harden off the floor during these last 21 games, compared to Houston's plenty gaudy advantage of plus-9.9 points per 100 possessions with The Beard out there.

Never forget that at the beginning of the season they put Minnesota ahead of us.

It's stein, who cares? Also, it's a power rankings, which have 0 meaning in any sport at any time.

We are third in the conference, and that probably won't change for a while. San Antonio and Golden State will keep pace with us, maybe drop or rise 1 game, but rankings won't move.

We are playing spectacular, but we won't go undefeated in the month, that just is not sustainable. The standings 1-4 look like they will remain 1-4 for the year.

Harden shot poorly last week which is why I believe he probably didn't get the nod. 36% Fg and 23% from 3.

True, but he averaged 25.75 PPG, 10.75 RPG, and 8.75 APG, had 2 triple doubles, had the game winning pass to Nene vs OKC, and his team went 4-0. I'm not saying other players didn't deserve it as much, but Curry shouldn't have gotten it when his team choked a 19 point lead in the 4th quarter. Especially the way he deferred to Durant at the end of regulation which is what set Draymond Green off.

The douchebaggery from Stein is legendary, especially towards our Rockets, Soooooo I take GREAT pleasure in seeing him put our team in 2nd place in the power rankings!!! I know it doesn't mean a hill of beans, BUT having HIM write it is making me feel a tingling all over my body! I can hear Gene Peterson say..."How Sweet It Is"!!!! :D

I love the first line of the article, trying to put a positive spin on GS:

"The Golden State Warriors still haven't lost two regular-season games in a row‎ since early in the 2014-15 season."

Big fkn deal, any .500 team can do this going WLWLWL etc.

He wasn't far off. The Rockets did start off that badly and struggled without Bev.

Raptors game was a huge win imo. We coasted until the 4th and dismantled them. Rockets should be number 1.
