    Derrick McKey would be an okay acquisition. A good player for the veteran's minimum who can actually play defense.

    He'd be a good fit, if his defense rubs off onto the team. He wouldn't play more than 5-10 mins a game with us though.

    McKey would do nothing for this team.

    I doubt he'd want to play for a loser team in his old age anyway.

    Rudy is grooming TMo to be the next Derrick McKey, so I don't see Rudy and CD going after him.

    Derrick Mckey? You cant be serious ...he's older than water...how could he possibly help this team??? The only thing he could offer is maybe a list of good moving companies since he's played for like 96 teams.:rolleyes:

    I agree, he's very old. When I hear McKey, it reminds me of a game against Seattle when Allen Leavell got stuck with him on an inbounds pass for the lob and the game. Man, that was ages ago.

    Did anyone hear we were thinking about getting McKey or did someone just think, hey, it would be good to get McKey next season...because sh** in that case... Why don't we acquire Shaq next season...he would make a great contribution to the team...and while we are at it, what about T-Mac, now then we could win the title!!!(Sorry for the Sarcasm, but I don't know where all these rumors about getting players are coming from)

    McKey played for a total of 2 teams his first 15 years. Since then he has played for one more. He sure has jumped around a lot!

    Maybe because of his subpar paly in recent years it "seemed" like he was playing for the other team. He could teach t-mo how to "be good, not great."

    I guess for the million dollar exception I could come up with a worse player....if Eddie Johnson can contribute, I guess Mckey can too...:p
