That was perhaps the ugliest game of basketball I have ever watched.

Our whole team couldn't throw a seashell into the ocean tonight.

I mean Langhi, TMO, Cat, Griff, Mooch, KT, all of them looked horrible out there.

The only thing that saved us was that we actually played some defense.

Also, is anyone else concerned that Steve's Migraines are career threatening?

One more thing...Pau is miles better then Griffin right now...Pau is the real deal..he is just good....no slight on Eddie, but Pau is gonna be every bit a star.

Where exactly has all the post game reaction been here. I mean I came here after the game and I don't think there was one post about the game. Was everyone still traumatized from the ugliness and just didn't care to post. Anyway, about Steve, they sure as hell better not be. Does anybody else in the league have as many as he does??? If they do, how do they manage.

Why the hell doesnt he get braces like Terrel Davis did. I think that helped him a lot, but I guess different things work for different people.

There is only one word to describe our team:

    Sh!tty.

Yeah, and Griffin is dissapointing me more and more ith every game. it seems that, everytime he's gone up against another rookie, he loses concentration.

It could be he's one of those players that's easily put out of synch by a few words (Vince Carter).

I thought he'd come out like a madman now that he had some rest for his body.

Maybe he just can't handle any defensive pressure?

I hope he and Steve end the season the way they should. With Griffin averaging 16/7/2 the rest of the way, and Steve with 20/7/7 and ALL the games.

wow, are you kidding me? how can he possibly be dissapointing you? I mean he's been a silver lining in a terrible season. gasol is a veteran, though a young one, of the european leagues. he's currently head and shoulders ahead of griffin, but in two or three years both will be perennial all-stars. if you want what griffin should be averaging for the rest of the season, as a NINETEEN year old with one year college ball, than you might as well stop watching cause it should be about 8/5/2, if that. but since he will easily surpass that we should be very excited about our future star. i didn't think this negativity could get all the way to our young phenom.

Quit b****ing about a win. They are too rare this season.

I'll take an ugly win over a spirited loss any day.

Yes, Steve's migraines bother me. I think that they are worse than we imagined.

    DD and Sane,

Even though Gasol and EG are both "technically" rookies, look at their experience. Gasol having played 4-5 (whatever) years of pro ball in Europe, vs. EG just one year removed from high school. No question that Gasol is MILES better right now, and is going to get even better; he's really good. But my money is on EG to emerge as the dominant player in the long run...primarily because of his incredible shot blocking ability. He also has a good basketball IQ and is a great natural shooter :)

So let's cut EG some slack right now, especially when he faces a "veteran rookie," and just enjoy watching him become a real force in this league in the years to come.

It will be interesting to see how this migraine trail effects Steve's contract situation which is expiring in, what, 2 years?

I'm more comfortable with Griffin, than Gasol. Griffin's game will more easily accomodate the extra muscle he's going to put on the next couple of years. And then, voila! We'll have either a nice, big shotblocking PF or C. Gasol's game, which relies more on quickness, isn't conducive to adding weight. So there's not as much room for improvement.

Certainly, Gasol is better now. But in 5 years, when Gasol is trying to drive the lane, Griffin's going to be a monster in the middle.

If anyone can forecast Eddie being better than Gasol in 5 yrs, please tell me tonights lotto numbers. Gasol is being used better than Griffin even with his slight frame. He's classified as a rookie but really isn't which illustrates why Dirk,Peja and some of the other euro players are ahead of our college players. Its unfair to compare the two players because even though its overseas, they are still playing against grown men. Barkley played against Dirk in germany yrs ago when the guy was like 17 or 18 yrs old and he hit them for 30. Playing overseas vs college is a mismatch. All that being said, I think both will be very good players.
