Magic waive Romero Osby

    Drafted #51 by the Magic this past draft. They had to waive him because they couldn't come to terms on a buy-out with Hedo yet.

    Osby is a 6'8, 240 PF. Just like Morey likes em. :)

    Similar college production to Covington, but unlike Covington, Osby has been productive for this pre-season. One of the more productive rookies, in fact. Arguably better than #1 pick Anthony Bennett. Has 3-point range, would fit well in the Rockets system.

    Maybe he got more minutes than Covington because the Magic suck.

    Note: they cut Al Harrington in August to make room for guys exactly like Osby. This isn't about Hedo. Osby got beat out by a vet, Solomon Jones, so that must be pretty bad for a team in a youth movement.

    Plus, he didn't play any PF in preseason. So, I don't see the point.
