prime time, no injury, emotions included who'd you pick with this new 2011 team?

kmart has the edge on the points, fg%, ft% but max is an elite defender that got away talkn smack to jordan and had some mental issues plus was more clutch.

for me, i'd pick maxwell. the swagger and taking over the game would be cool again. plus maxwell was a good assist guy for a 2 guard.

    interesting comparison.

I think Maxwell has the much better nickname.

You'd have to take mad max pre-1995 for his ability to step up in the clutch. However, Martin's ability to get a team to the 5th foul quickly also has Yao-value. This is a tough one. Good question. I think it depends on who you're playing and the time of the year/game you are playing in.

I'd take Mad Max in a heartbeat. Forget about the stats, we need a genuine tough guy on this team. We're too soft and have been for years.

Hell, the entire NBA is too soft. Not enough enforcers in the league nowadays.

With the addition of the flagrant foul, technical fouls point system, and no players leave the bench area during a fight, it's safe to say the NBA wants it this way.

Kevin Martin would never D up Michael Jordan.

I'm a HUGE Kevin Martin fan, but Maxwell in a heartbeat. One plays defense, the other doesn't.

The selectively memorialized overhyping of Mad Max continues.

He and Rafer are neck and neck as to the title of most prolific/least efficient player in Rockets history.

People don't realize how truly terrible of an offensive liablity he was. He makes Ron Artest look like Jerry West.

The version of Max Max that doesn't quit on his team would be great. But my brain knows that Maxwell self desctructed to the point that he couldn't play for the most laid back championship caliber coach in sports history.

    I'll take Kevin Martin.

I'd take Martin, because something tells me with the NBA's new rules banning any physical defense on the perimeter combined with the lack of love form refs would equal MadMax fouling out.

    me too :)

i think this team could use some perimeter defense, frankly. i'd prefer having Max at his best. but I like K-Mart, alright.

Since we do not have Hakeem on the low block, I will take the better person and basketball player in Kevin Martin.
