2 dead, 2 wounded in LA airport shooting July 4, 2002 Posted: 3:28 PM EDT LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Two people were shot dead and at least two others were wounded Thursday at Los Angeles International Airport after a shooting at the ticket counter for El Al Airlines, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department said. The gunman was one of those killed. He was shot by El Al security personnel, said Alex Baez of the LAPD. The Tom Bradley International Terminal was shut down, Baez said, and everyone inside was evacuated. Hundreds were seen streaming out of the terminal and traffic was stopped outside. Police cars, ambulances, and fire engines lined the road. ---- story still developing...
What's sad is the way CNN and the news affiliates are jerking off over the situation. It's turned into this whole soap opera about "Is it terrorists or not?". It's a damn frenzy out there...it's like half of the problem is containing the news crews. I'm turning CNN off for the rest of the day cause it's a flip between the plane crash and airport shooting gushing over little or no new details for the rest of the day. Surf
The media is horrid. Anyone else noticed that Fox News has a "Special Report" every night? Sure, it's a special report on the millionaire ballonist. I guess it's special. Now, we have this (which several sources are reporting to be a criminal act by an individual or individauals rather than a terrorist issue) and the networks are in high alert mode. Oh, brother. If this turns out to be a disgruntled employee...
