Very small sample size... just thought it was interesting, considering Luis Scola's FG% has been consistent in both wins (51.2%) and these losses (51.0%).

    3 Rocket Wins:

    <table border="0" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="0"><tr style="background-color:#bb0022;font: bold 12px Georgia, verdana, arial, tahoma; color: #ffffff;text-align:center;"><td valign="top" align="left" width="105">Name</td><td valign="top" align="middle">MIN</td><td valign="top" align="middle">FG%</td><td valign="top" align="middle">FGA/G</td><td valign="top" align="middle">FT%</td><td valign="top" align="middle">FTA/G</td><td valign="top" align="middle">3P%</td><td valign="top" align="middle">3PA/G</td><td valign="top" align="middle">REB</td><td valign="top" align="middle">AST</td><td valign="top" align="middle">STL</td><td valign="top" align="middle">TO</td><td valign="top" align="middle">F</td><td valign="top" align="middle">PTS</td></tr><tr style="background-color:#ffffff;font: 13px arial, Georgia, verdana, tahoma; color: #000000;"><td valign="top"><a href="http://www.clutchfans.net/players/kevin_martin" class="NonBoldLink">Kevin Martin</a></td><td valign="top" align="right" > 35.3</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 42.9</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 18.0</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 81.8</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 3.7</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 50.0</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 8.0</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 2.0</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 3.3</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 0.00</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 1.7</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 1.7</td><td valign="top" align="right" bgcolor="#EAEAD5">23.0</td></tr><tr style="background-color:#eeeeee;font: 13px arial, Georgia, verdana, tahoma; color: #000000;"><td valign="top"><a href="http://www.clutchfans.net/players/kyle_lowry" class="NonBoldLink">Kyle Lowry</a></td><td valign="top" align="right" > 36.7</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 30.4</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 7.7</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 88.9</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 3.0</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 22.2</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 3.0</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 8.7</td><td valign="top" align="right" >11.3</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 2.33</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 4.3</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 2.3</td><td valign="top" align="right" bgcolor="#EAEAD5"> 8.0</td></tr></table>
In the 3 Rockets wins, Kevin Martin has been nails. He has averaged 23 points and taken over 18 shots a game, hitting 50% (12-24) from three-point range. The difference has primarily been his three-point shooting.

In those wins, Lowry has been terrific in the assists (mainly because Martin is now hitting shots) and rebounds, but he has taken a back seat offensively. He's shooting fewer shots and hasn't shot the ball well.

    4 Rocket Losses (w/ Lowry)

    <table border="0" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="0"><tr style="background-color:#bb0022;font: bold 12px Georgia, verdana, arial, tahoma; color: #ffffff;text-align:center;"><td valign="top" align="left" width="105" >Name</td><td valign="top" align="middle" >MIN</td><td valign="top" align="middle" >FG%</td><td valign="top" align="middle" >FGA/G</td><td valign="top" align="middle" >FT%</td><td valign="top" align="middle" >FTA/G</td><td valign="top" align="middle" >3P%</td><td valign="top" align="middle" >3PA/G</td><td valign="top" align="middle" >REB</td><td valign="top" align="middle" >AST</td><td valign="top" align="middle" >STL</td><td valign="top" align="middle" >TO</td><td valign="top" align="middle" >F</td><td valign="top" align="middle" >PTS</td></tr><tr style="background-color:#ffffff;font: 13px arial, Georgia, verdana, tahoma; color: #000000;"><td valign="top"><a href="http://www.clutchfans.net/players/kyle_lowry" class="NonBoldLink">Kyle Lowry</a></td><td valign="top" align="right" > 31.5</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 47.9</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 12.0</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 90.5</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 5.3</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 40.9</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 5.5</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 5.5</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 8.5</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 1.75</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 3.0</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 3.8</td><td valign="top" align="right" bgcolor="#EAEAD5">18.5</td></tr><tr style="background-color:#eeeeee;font: 13px arial, Georgia, verdana, tahoma; color: #000000;"><td valign="top"><a href="http://www.clutchfans.net/players/kevin_martin" class="NonBoldLink">Kevin Martin</a></td><td valign="top" align="right" > 30.8</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 38.3</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 11.8</td><td valign="top" align="right" >100.0</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 2.8</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 19.0</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 5.3</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 1.5</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 2.5</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 0.75</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 1.3</td><td valign="top" align="right" > 2.5</td><td valign="top" align="right" bgcolor="#EAEAD5">12.8</td></tr></table>
In 4 Rockets losses with Lowry in the lineup, it's been the reverse. Martin is struggling REALLY badly and is taking 6 shots fewer a game (in fewer minutes), and Lowry is picking up the load. His shots are way up (despite playing less time than he does in the wins) and he's been extremely effective (nearly 48% from the field and over 40% from three). The majority of Lowry's scoring has come in the losses.

Both these guys have to be ON for this team to have a chance. I bet a similar analysis of last season's data would yield the same results.

I think it's still too small a sample size.

As I said b4, when Lowry are scoring, it usually means our offensive scheme are really working...
