Any dim hope the Nets had, is gone

They have no rebounding. They're going to have to put a guard lineup out there and play small ball

WOW! There goes the Nets season. This means that either the Raptors, Knicks or Celtics will win the Atlantic division and that is a crying shame. I think we all knew the Nets would snap out of it and run away with the division but now one of three lame duck coaches will take it, along with a #4 seed.

You know, maybe the Nets can still win the thing. J Kidd, VC and RJ should add up to more than those other teams but they are so weak at PF/C I don't know. I guess they'll make a trade.

Krstic wasn't much of a rebounder ever, so this doesn't hurt them in that department. I actually think they can afford to lose him. Nice player, I like him a lot, but somewhat redundant in their score-happy scheme. The only problem is with him out, the hideous Jason COllins will play more.

    Maybe they want Juwan again?

i wonder with this injury and juwan's strong play of late, if he could go to NJ now. Juwan has been real solid off the bench.

We play them next week. It's a good time to showcase Juwan. They have nothing to offer though. They can't get rid of Williams because he is on a rookie contract and Collins is worse than Juwan.

Are the Nets looking to deal and Jefferson and what "condition" are they referring to that apparently is making him untradeable?

All they can offer is Collins and his bad knee.

    Jefferson's ankle is messed up.

That's all? I mean, I know he was day-to-day with a sore ankle for a while but he has been playing. He sat out on game mid December but has played in every game since (including last night). I just figured there was something more to it than just that.

...in related news, the New Jersey Nets just offered the Houston Rockets Vince Carter and their upcoming first round pick for Juwon Howard.

Rejoice, people, J-Hoe is suddenly in high demand.

He's owed $66MM over 5 years, including this season. Ouch!

Why in the world would they want to trade Williams for Juwan?
