    Embrace the W legacy ...

Korean War hero branded a terrorist by draft-dodging Shrub

Professor Walter F. Murphy, a Korean war hero and McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence (emeritus) at Princeton, was delayed while flying because he's on a "terrorist watch list." The check-in clerk told him that he was probably added because he gave a speech that was critical of the president (who dodged his military service).

    Worst President Ever.

And that means what? He has a staff, you know that right? He has a cabinet in every facet of the government. He hires the AG, CIA chief, US Attorneys and other people who can gather info about anybody in the country.

shrub doesn't have to personally make a list. You're either naive or like playing dumb. My guess is the latter.

If Bush found out that a Korean War hero was erroneously put on a terrorist watch list, would he do anything about it? I doubt it.

is the ceo of bp personally responsible for the plant explosion in texas city? is he responsible as a ceo? of course the president isn't responsible for making these lists. but he is responsible for the culture that allows people to be on the list out of personal grudges.

How is that relevant? He's the one that directed the policies that created this.

Bush hasn't fired a shot in the Iraq war, but is he therefore not responsible for any of the deaths?

whether he would do anything about it or not, doesn't change the fact that he is responsible for that policy.

maybe, but the title of the thread doesnt state that.

i can understand being upset that someone was put on a watch list who shouldnt be but this is a bit much.

I got sent a toll violation in error a few weeks ago...dam bush is after me too!

Yeah, I really do. Bush's failures are because of incompetence and group think. He's not malicious.

Bush isn't responsible for the policy that sent you the erroneous violation. He is responsible for the policy that put the war hero on the terrorist watch list.

maybe it was his policy when he was gov. but still, policy debate is one thing. day to day operation of such policies is another. i dont think presidents have enough time to micro manage every little aspect of the govt.

    He's against this:
He's against a man, a party, and an ideology identifying themselves as the only true America and buying into the fiction that if you're against the man, the party and the ideology, you're against America.
