OK OK, you guys caught me. Yes, I am Clyde Drexler. This moniker reminds me of a Gazelle.

i think clutch said at one point that there are 32 (or so) members of the rockets organization that are registered to this site, including players, coaches, front office guys, etc...

Yeah, I think all the negative crap on these boards are a significant part of why the Rockets don't do as well at home. That, the home crowds and the way the arena was built.

But, I notice periodically in interviews where you can tell they've read stuff here ... and it does hurt them.

I'm not saying we shouldn't be honest and debate the issues here, but we shouldn't be naive either that the Rockets wouldn't read the biggest fan site on the internet devoted to them.

I DO think we should write with more awareness of how what we say affects them, and show more respect. I especially think we shouldn't come on here with all our stupid panic posts or inflamatory reactions.

Well if they do read the forums I hope to goodness they don't do it after a loss. Sometimes, very few times in recent months, there are good logical posts in here that I would think they would like to read, but most of the time its panic and chaos.

I don't know that most of them would join, but I am sure they read stuff about the team... so I wouldn't be suprised if they were lurking.

I'm shocked that no one else remarked on the brilliance of this post.

I know Morey must read the board at least or has someone read the board for him because he has spoken with Clutch before (draft night last year) and all.

Also I am sure some of the other guys like Chrislord of the rowdies probably read the board since a decent number of the rowdies are on this board themselves.

They mainly tend to be lurkers I think the only one who was really open about his status in the organization here was Tim McDougal before he moved onto the Hornets.

I was emailed through the board by someone part of the rockets organization once because of a thread here I posted in and I believe that person had never posted just had lurked.

not sure about the players but i wouldnt be surprised if some of them did or at least were told about threads here from their friends or rockets org people.

I'm convinced that usually those users who leave cryptic and ambiguous messages about something that may happen in the future are probably somehow related to the organization. Or just someone that really wants to mess with our heads.....

Well thanks to Clutch I know that Chuck knows about my website from here. There are only two places I have the link to the site here and at basketballforum.com. I would imagine that there is a high likelihood that is how the organization knew about it.

Unless they just did a random search for Chuck - which would be weird ;)

Edit: no I just thought of another place its posted... wikipedia
