    with all the talk about how yao should become more dirty and badass, what do people on this board think of having a more dirty shane battier?

    there's been constant mention of shane not being a good one-on -one defender, because his opponent can shoot very well even if he had his hand right in his face. I dunno if shane is leaving space to avoid fouls of what not, but it DOES seems that the way shane is defending the better players in this league seems ineffective. It almost seems the kobe's and the ginobili's can score very well under battier's defense.

    So here comes a thought, would his opponent be more concerned if shane becomes dirty. If shane actually slap those mofo's face once in a while during their jumpshot, would that create a mental fear that affects their shot? that's the way bowen's been doing it-- being dirty, which creates imo an extra gear to his defense.

    Just a thought... :p
