Rockets are working on a buyout with Jared Jeffries according to Mark Berman (Ny Post) via Twitter. Posted about 13 minutes ago.

agreed. Apparently, D'Antoni like him. Wish I could edit my freaking posts so this could all be in a single post, instead of three. BBS was acting crazy when I tried to post originally, sorry for not having all of the info in a single post.

@NYPost_Berman "Two sources said Rockets and Jared Jeffries are now working on buyout. A favorite of Mike D'Antoni's as Knicks review big-man options."

Let's say we are 1 mil over the LT threshold, could this have any affect on us getting under the LT? Does the paycut (assuming there is a small one) and the amount he signs for on the new team come off our LT calc books?

It's too bad, that his expiring contract could not be used in a trade.
