AFC South is absolutely falling into our laps at the moment.

Would Indy scoop him up for insurance?

Ive read its mostly a contract thing. Maybe they release and resign him to a lesser contract? If he doesn't resign i wonder where he ends up.

Things are really lining up for the Texans this year.

I hope not. I want him to go to the 49ers, although they seem like they wanna go the "Suck for Luck" route.

Not with Collins in tow, no.

My guess is he'll end up at some QB stricken place, like Seattle, Oakland, or Miami.

Yeah, I'm thinking Seattle out of those 3.

12 wins are attainable for the Texans :)

    My guess is Miami.

Dunno, just seems like a good fit.

*edit: nvm, he's probably going to Seattle... they have like 2 times as much cap space as Miami and Oakland.

For the Texans, almost too good to be true. They were better than the Jags anyway but now there is no legitimate competition in the division.

Random. Could have sworn he was named the starter.

He wasn't even voted one of the 6 team captains.

I never really thought Garrard was that bad, and certainly not bad enough to cut when the Jags have an outside shot at a wide open division.

I think it crashed. I didn't think they had enough fans for that. Must be other teams fans logging on to see the madness.

Blaine Gabbert will certainly be starting by season's end.

That or they want to roll with Gabbert and save the $8M. This cut still came out of left field.

Cutting you're starting QB 4 days before the season starts really shows you where the Jags are as an organization right now. Glad im not a Jags fan.

This, there has to be something else behind this.

They likely were in negotiations with him to restructure his contract, and when it got down to the final hour before they *had* to pay him, the Jags decided they were better off just moving on without him and saving the money.
