    Video games have pretty much killed D&D I think....I don't know anyone that still plays.

    I recall being 19 and friends with a movie theater manager in Baytown, we used to game at midnight until 4 or 5am, upstairs in the projection areas conference room.

    It had a conference table and a large map of the area we were exploring.

    Dane Ebron was my half elven fighter magic user....good times...good times.

    Not true at all. There are tons of gaming nerds out there, and D&D and other tabletop gaming is alive and well.

    But not as prevelant......we used to get together and play D&D, and even have Margarita and Risk parties.

    BTW - we had girls that played too, and I didn't pay for a movie for more than 3 years....as all the managers of 3 theaters and 22 screens were playing.

    It was AWESOME.....free popcorn and drinks and free movies......

    I remember seeing tons of movies the night before release at midnight with just the staff and friends.

    Now my buddy who ran the gaming group is an HPD sargeant....

    Good times, good times.

    Most that I knew that still played gave up the tabletop version before/when BioWare released NeverWinter Nights Original (gave it up, or got older and no longer can get to a common tabletop, making NWN that much more useful). I'd play either if I had the time for such things, but I'm lucky if we get in a game of Axis and Allies, Risk, or even just cards these days... though we've found a little time for all of that here and there.

    On another note, we did rock out on some outdoor RockBand3 this NewYear's, and that was fun... so shout of gratitude out to Dane Ebron on that one. :)

    MMORPGs probably do everything D&D could, but better. Of course, it costs more.
