OK, as all of you are so jealously aware, I'm going to New Orleans this weekend for the Final Four. My sister decided she wanted to go as well (just to go to the Big Easy), so I thought I'd cancel my airfare and ride with her. However, she can't stay until Tuesday, so I didn't know what would happen if I wasn't on the plane for the first part of the trip. Would my return trip be canceled? Well, I called Southwest, and not only did they say that the return trip would not be canceled, I also would get a credit for the first leg that I didn't make. I'm still skeptical however since I'd really hate it if I got to the airport Tuesday morning and they told me it wasn't like that. Anyone ever do this?
Hahaha that's kinda funny, well for me at least. I'm heading down for the nat'l championship game ONLY if Syracuse gets past Texas. Now I think Texas is a great team and I wish them the best, but I gotta represent the Orange, IF they get past Texas. I had a friend who went to the nat'l championship last year or the year before and they said tickets for the game were VERY easy to come by. Mainly because the fans from the losing school (in the semis) bought tickets for the championship game, but have no reason to see it. But I think I would be happy if either Texas or Syracuse made it.
Anybody know the answer to my question?? I was looking on Ebay at tickets for a friend. Two for all three games were going for $700 in what looked like the worst seats. That's not too bad a price. Major forwarded me a link to an auction for midcourt seats, lower level...$17,000 for 4.
I would swear that I was told once that not making your outgoing flight will cancel your return flight. What else could they expect... so they want to re-sell that sucker.
The only way this makes sense is that SWA seems to be the only airline that doesn't jack up their one-way prices. Plus, I'm still forced to use that money on a future SWA flight.
I did the same thing with Northwest. You'll be able to fly to New Orleans at any time for a year's time. Getting back will be the problem. I'd definitely trust them from prior experience. They've been traveling long enough to run into your exact situation before.
