Is this just the Subways in Ireland, or worldwide?

Also, imagine the topic of sandwich bread being argued in a first-world country's supreme court.

    Kinda funny.

I'd like a ruling on the boneless chicken wing.

In Scotland, Subway just deep-fries the sandwiches to qualify for "staple food" tax benefits

I can imagine a bunch of drunk Irishmen arguing, then fighting, over bread.

    Subway: "tis bread yer eejit!"
    Ireland: "'tis cake yer moron!"
Subway: "Yisser ma loves me cake, yer 'orse's 'ole!"
Ireland: "I'll show yer gollier bap av bread, yer arse!"
Subway: ''tis bread, by jared's 'oly ward!"
    Ireland:"Cake!"
    Subway "Bread!"

    ***brawl***

Judge: 'De winner is cake! nigh aff ter de pup for black stuff!'

Also since I saw it at the Gravity Bar at the top of the Guinness Brewery. They desperately need to rule that Bud Light isn't beer.

It is not like it is made from cake flour. Give me a break.

Somebody tell Dominos their hamburger and taco pizzas aren't replacements for hamburgers and tacos...even if they don't deliver well. You bastards!

More finely milled, from different wheat, with lower protein content than all-purpose flour, which is lower in protein and from different wheat than bread flour.

But this decision has nothing to do with the type of flour, it's about the sugar content. Look at the label of a loaf of "regular" white or wheat bread sometime...loaded with sugars.

Cake flour, as opposed to just all-purpose flour, is used in cakes because you want the dough to be softer and more pliable. Higher protein flour, as in all-purpose flour that has around 10 - 12% protein (as opposed to 7 - 8% in cake flour), absorbs more water resulting in stiffer dough than what you would want in a cake. Therefore, they use cake flour. But, all purpose flour can be made into something resembling cake flour by reducing some flour and adding corn starch of the same amount, e.g. remove 2 tablespoons of all purpose flour and add back 2 tablespoons of corn starch per 1 cup of all purpose flour).

Yes, I knew all that without looking anything up. ;)

Basically, the cake flour works better with the extra amounts of sugar that goes into cake and makes it come out like cake versus bread.

Next time I order a Big Mac, I'm going to be like "can I get that with a real bread bun?".
