My buddies from high school have played fantasy football for 14 straight years. I started the league back before it was on the internet -- I literally tabulated box scores by hand, using the Chronicle sports section. Through the years, as my friends have moved across the country and separated, it's been a great way to stay in touch.

I use CBS Sportsline for our league, which is nice. But. The one thing it doesn't have is a solid forum feature. It has the messageboard, sure, but I wan't something more robust, something where you can post messages and do threads and stuff. (Well, like a poor man's Clutchfans, I guess.)

    Any recommendations?

I don't need anything fancy, just a no-frills forum where my 10 buddies and I can post comments, talk smack, and have ongoing conversations. I googled "Free Forum Hosting" but came up with so much junk, I don't know where to begin, and I don't know how much of that is spam and/or virus targets.

    Thanks in advance...

I use phpBB on a family site and vBulletin on another.

EDIT: I misread your post. I thought you were looking for Forum software for your site.

How about Yahoo! Groups? Make it secure, though, and to require confirmation for messages from users.

Thanks guys. I went to Forumwise.com and it's just what I had in mind. My forum is already set up, I've customized my background, and I just sent out a message to my league.

Just one more reason I love Clutchfans. Almost any question you have in the world... someone in the Hangout will have the answer.

    thanks again.
