For those of us who are not familiar with stress fracture, especially Yao's condition, here is a article that talk about the cause, prevention, and treatment of stress fracture.

i don't think this is going to be that informative because it's only discussing how to treat and prevent a stress fracture, but Yao had the joint re-aligned or whatever, so it shouldnt be an issue because the force being taken by the bone won't be as much anymore, and there's no info about that procedure here. i think we already knew what a stress fracture is and how it's caused...
