Everyday. And I mean EVEVERY FREAKIN DAY my neighbors dogs start barking at each early in the morning. I am talking 6:00 am these b****es (no pun intended!!!) scream at the top of their lungs for 2-3 hours. CONSTANTLY! Wont let me get any sleep! There are about 3 of them that just go at it. WTF is wrong with these dogs!?!?!? Sorry if I offend you animal lovers, but these dogs are the anti-Christ and I hope they die!
I would talk to them about it, and ask them to please get them to be quiet. If that does not work I would call the police. DaDakota
LMAO!!!!!!! Rockets03, this was the funniest post ever! I was on the floor laughing about to piss my pants at this line... 2. I didn't know dogs were into religion. LOL!!!! 3. "...and I hope they die!" LMAO still!! LOL!!! I nominate this post of the week. I just lost about 12 pounds from laughing.
Actually, the police can require that homeowners keep their dogs indoors if they are creating a noise problem. Talk to the neighbors and alert them to the problem. Be "neighborly." Explain it. If they refuse, tell them you will have to alert the authorities and they will likely force them to either put the dogs inside or take them away. Before freaking out and dreaming of dead dogs, try actually talking to your neigbors. Amazingly enough, people have been talking to their neigbors for centuries now. You'd be surprised to know that they are real live people over there. By the way, this is hardly the fault of the dogs. Wishing them dead won't fix the problem. Dogs bark on instinct for protection or to get attention. What do you want to bet they start barking around their feeding time? Human babies do the same thing. Don't blame the dogs. Blame the owners.
Come on, Rockets03, just lace a T-bone with some strychnine you didn't use on the halloween candy last week!
Jeff's advice is good advice. Talk to them before calling the police. When you do call the police I'll bet their first question to you will be whether you've talked to them about it yet.
We have a similar problem in my crappy neighborhood. The neighbor has 3 outdoor dogs that just won't shut up. They bark from sundown to sunrise until they finally go to sleep. Luckily, they are far enough away from me that I can deal with the noise and sleep. The sound of my air filter and fan(if I use it) does a pretty good job of drowning out the barks. I don't know how the neighbors next to that house ever get any sleep. The lady doesn't do jack to shut them up, either. I know that when I let my two dogs out in the early AM and they rarely bark. Sometimes, they will start up with a little growling and hyperactivity if they see a cat but it never goes into full scale barking usually. However, when it does, then I give them hell. I get up and open my back door threatening those little bastards. Then, I get them in the house and give corrective behavior. They know that it is wrong to bark when I'm asleep. They also know I will be at the backdoor ready to give them hell if they do start barking. So, they are pretty good. Those other dogs, though, will not shut up. Now I know why my city has a three pet limit per household. Three outdoor dogs is an equation for non-stop barking. It's funny how all or most of that barking occurs at night. I think those dogs bark because they never get any attention from the owner. They also never leave the backyard. And, they never go in the house. Bottom line...I'm a good, responsible dog owner. People who let their dogs bark all night long without addressing the problem are bad dog owners because their not doing anything or enough to deal with the problem.
The neighbors should put the dogs in. They are the ones you should wish death upon, not the dogs. I have the same problem at times. I myself like to avoid talking to my neighbors at all costs, so I would probably go the police route.
