Adelman goes on and on about how he reforms his "coaching" to match the players abilities to put them in the positions where they can excel.. I'm calling him out on that, Infact I'm calling it bullsh/t straight up

Avery puts his players in positions to excel, as does Phoenix's Mike D'Antoni, Adelman? No definitely does NOT

If I could ask Adelman one question it would be this "How come Avery can get roleplayers to contribute on a regular basis and at high percentages (just look at Bass, even with Dallas star power Avery made sure to get him his comfort zoned mid ranger jumper) yet you can't Adelman?

Prime Example (I could use literally six prime examples) I'll choose Scola.. He's coming off back to back 20 point games where he didn't take too many shots, he got his points off of comfort-zoned shots thus were high percentage and helped a lot... Tonight? We added one player to the mix, t-mac and t-mac was in a passing mood... THREE PLAYS I repeat THREE PLAYS ran for Scola and TWO weren't even for the mid range jumper he's been lethal with... thats right ONE SHOT.

You win games with star power surrounded by contributing role-players.. It's hard for roleplayers to contribute when they get no play calling tendered to their strengths.. So I for one am appalled that Adelman frants around talking up how he does this when he in fact doesn't.. Leaving me with 5 other examples I didn't use.

Avery Johnson is a Popovich protege. He knows how to win and has an inate sense of matchup and substitutions.

My point, when he see's a match-up that is favored (even if dirk is in there) he uses it.. whether it's a roleplayer or a star, he uses that matchup that plays to so-in-so players ability and strengths. This is what Adelman preaches yet have not seen implemented
