I just ran a marathon

    I completed my first marathon on Sunday in Chicago - a time of 4 hours 34 minutes.

    I ran the whole way and finished strongly - the first half took me 2 hours 27 minutes and the second ony 2 hours 7 minutes. I came in 18,573rd place - slightly better than half of the field.

    My legs are little (well a lot) sore today, but otherwise it was an awesome experience. Running with all those people and the crowds lining the streets was unbelievable.

    Congratulations! That is quite an accomplishment. I was in training for a martathon once, but I never got past the 14 mile mark. I did not have enough discipline or desire.

    Good job Davo. I have a friend who runs marathons. Once, my friends and I went to meet him at a checkpoint. He ran his fastest time ever, and beat us there by 30 mins so we missed him ;). I didn't bother the next year...!

    I'm guessing you're more in shape than me :).
