I guess I need more time, but I want that time to get here asap...

    I want so much to get on with things,...and it ain't happening. I don't know if my heart isn't in it or what, but I am really finding it difficult to have my life (or no-life ;) ) the way it was before my father passed. My emotions are near repaired now, but I have tried so hard to start posting like before, but something is missing...my last 3 or 4 posts have sucked. I just can't get into it with the zeal and energy I had before...I never would have thought a parent dying brings so many little crappo things with it...For example, my Mom seems to be going down hill health-wise, I made it a point to stay with my mom during this time, and my mom seems to get irritated easily and complains about my wife not cleaning up and such petty things. There are money issues, lawyer issues (btw, shop around to see what a lawyer charges to prorate a will, and whether fees are included...tip of the day), just all kinds of crappo things, my e-mail doesn't work, so that sucks,...I forgot to reply to Manny like I said I would, so he probably hates me incessantly ( well, maybe not really. btw, lost your number again - doh!)

    Anyway, my aim is not to bring my CC.net friends down with my issues...after all we all have negative issues to deal with...I just want you all to know that...I haven't forgotten all you posters and...I'll be back! (yes, have the ah-nold voice in your head :) )

    I know how you feel buddy. It's been almost 4 months now since my mom passed, and I still have trouble sometimes getting interested in things that I used to be excited about. It's a long process. I'm glad to see you're helping your mom out with everything. Hang in there.

    The probate process doesn't make it any easier. The lawyers, life insurance, paying all sorts of bills, estate inventory, going through things at the house (the best and worst part, IMO), etc. It's one huge time-sink.

    I'm sorry. Make you sure you take care of yourself and talk to people. Consider professional counseling as well. There's nothing wrong with that.

    Relativist is right...if you guys enjoy going to the movies...do it!! That's a good way to escape for at least a night. Nothing like a date with your wife (with the rule you can't talk about all the other stuff)!

    I'm sorry for your loss...I can't imagine what it would be like to lose a parent. God bless you...I'll pray for you.

    Don't ever think that I would get upset if you don't get back in touch with me. You have a lot on your mind right now, and it is understandable that you have lost your zeal for some things.

    It is just going to take some time, but you will make it.
