www.pspvideo9.com <---Converting video. Pretty easy, I'll help if you have any questions though. Make sure to encode to AVC since you have 2.0.

Emus, I'm not totally up to date on 2.0 emus, but I know the SNES emulator works. Gonna go play me some Mystic Quest at work

As Miguel said, pspvideo9 is a nice, easy-to-use program for converting movies. There may be others that are nice, but I've more or less stuck with it since PSP's launch since it seemed to work well enough.

I also don't really know too much about what works with 2.0. I was looking at some programs for getting around this, and I did see one that seems to allow for some programs to work:
    http://files.pspupdates.qj.net/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,40,1600

I also found what appears to be a way to downgrade a 2.0 PSP to 1.5:
    http://files.pspupdates.qj.net/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,40,1409

I haven't tried either of those so I have no idea how or even if they work. Messing with these kind of things could possibly screw up your PSP if you don't know what you're doing, so you may need to research this yourself before even attempting to do this.

As for the capacity of the memory sticks, I'm still on my 32 MB memory stick (hehe...I'm cheap), but I would try to go as big as possible. Newegg has some 1GB memory sticks for ~$65:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820191419

You could probably get by with 512, but since the 1GB sticks have gone down a lot in price, I personally would rather get it. Of course, I'd probably end up using it for a lot of things, including a PS3 memory stick as well, so I obviously would prefer more storage. Also, there is a 4 GB HD/battery combo that has gotten some attention lately; I think it costs like $150, or somewhere around there.

As for games, depends on what you like. Just some great games that I can think of off the top of my head: Ridge Racers, Lumines, Burnout Legends, and GTA:LCS. Metal Gear Acid, Wipeout, Virtua Tennis, Untold Legends and a couple other games are good as well if you're into those kind of games. Some ports like Madden, X-Men Legends 2, and SSX seem to be pretty strong titles on the PSP as well, despite being similar to their console counterparts (that may actually be a good thing).

1GB stick is awesome. Hell, I paid 120 bucks for my stick. I'd definately pay 80 bucks for a 1 gig stick.

I currently have 3 eps of Arrested Development, Hakeem The Dream DVD, 2 Astros montages, and the Burger King/Deion/Drew Bledsoe commercial on there. I also have about 30-40 SNES roms, and a handful of songs. I still have about 200 megs left I think.

Well, I don't watch full-length movies on it (unless it is a UMD, although I've only watched Spider-man on it); however, I have put smaller clips on there (usually game trailers or Rockets highlights). You'd be surprised at how much you could fit on that memory stick if you are smart with your conversions. I think at one time, I had 10-15 songs, maybe 2-5 minutes worth of video clips, a bunch of pictures, and game saves for like 3-4 games all on the memory stick. One of these days, I need to just give in a go with a bigger memory stick since, like I said, I'll probably use it for the PS3 as well. Going by what Miguel said, it sounds like you can fit a ton of media/games on a 1GB memory stick, so it seems like it is worth it.

I heard some reviews of Doom and they all sounded pretty bad. Probably better than Bloodrayne or any other Uwe Boll movie though.

I can never get enough of those owls. :)

:) just got back from Doom. It was kinda cheesy, but the whole first person sequence was pretty cool. I like the story they totally just made up too so that they could make a movie out of it. It was kinda clever...

Wow i had no idea you could fit so much media on such little space. Since a downloaded movie runs at around 700MB, mp3's at around 3.5MB and an SNES rom is about 15MB. If thats the case i should just be a cheapo and get a 512 for $40. Sounds like i could do a lot with it.

yea. 512 is pretty much useless--you can use it for music and what not but 1 gig or bigger is how the real men roll!

because the price dropped a LOT compared to 3 months ago since there's 1. a 2 gb out and 2. lexmark is starting to make pro duo sticks (more competition). $65 bucks for a 1 gb isn't all that farfetched.

Hey now, who do you think I am, DaDakota? :p

Seriously though, the prices for the 1 gigs are NUTS right now, I paid 124 AFTER MY FRY'S DISCOUNT!

And that was the cheapest I could find it at the time, this was in APRIL
