I hate to jinx it, but it appears I will be headed back to Houston after the first of the year. As luck would have it, I will be getting laid off Dec 31st and my GF is getting a promotion at the same time which will send us back to Houston. I am very excited about coming home and cannot wait to visit Whataburger, Shipley`s and Pappasitos. We are going to be looking at houses in and around the Crosby area and was wondering if anyone knows the area and has any advice on the surrounding areas. I grew up in Greenwood Forest off 1960 so this is a new area for me and would appreciate any help I could get.

Welcome home! As someone who moved back 5 years ago after 13 years away, I can tell you that it is a great feeling.

I live at Greenwood and 1960 right now. Good thing you're looking elsewhere, because it sucks now.

Wow, that used to be a great area. I lived on Pine Arbor and went to Klein Forest also, Class of 1984.

I live on Lawn Arbor. The neighborhood is still very nice, but the surrounding area has turned into the typical "starbuck strip-mall" suburban hell.
