What's funny is how blind some of those UT fans are.

They can't take off their blinders and deal with constructive criticism.

 

Thank you. Many Longhorn fans agree with you however posting that is a flame at hypocritical Hornfans. You see Hornfans think they're all high and mighty and anyone who doesn't kiss *** is considered the enemy.

Simms should never start at UT again. He cost us an BCS bid, guaranteed top 10 finish, and possible Rose Bowl. Anyone who can't see Simms sucks is blind. What has Simms done except cause heartbreak and tears? OVERRATED YANKEE.

What's funny is that EVERY poster is bashing the people who booed.

It seemed like 80% of the crowd was booing. I guess they constitute the entire group of non-booers?

I guarantee you half of those posters booed, and then try to sound all classy by saying how classless it is to boo.

 

Hell yeah, I'd be booing. The guy turns it over 4 times, and all Mack Brown can do is smile. Now those guys wanna offer Mack a lifetime contract. What kind of weed are they using at Hornfans? Simms got booed off the field. No denying it. It says it in the Texan. What if Mack had done the right thing by allowing Major to compete during games with Simms? Major was never allowed to compete, his job was handed to Simms due to Major's injury. Once Major came back, Simms was doing good, and Mack didn't want to pull Simms. Well, this happened.

I was at the game, and while I'm no Simms apologist, I don't think he was booed off the field. All I remember was the great cheers that arose when Major took the field. And then the insane cheers when he threw a 79-yard TD pass on his second play from scrimmage.

 

All the UT fans at hornfans.com are the biggest bunch of babies. They cry when someone bashes their players, yet they wonder why they suck so bad in big games.

They want to know why they aren't as good as advertised, yet they are too scared to blame anyone.

They are like a dog chasing its own tail.

Simms got booed,so what ? Thats what happens when you stink the place up...I'm sure his Dads been booed his share and has given this lesson to his son... If his psyche is so fragile that this will harm him in some way.. he should give up sports

 

That forum is a joke. I hope those people never lurk here because they would have a hissy fit if they saw some of the post Big 12 Championship Game threads. Better yet, if they are going to jump all over JB like that, I would hate to see what they would say or do to Timing or kidrock8...LOL (just thinking about it)!

And I read their rules about staying positive, but I'm sorry but I don't see the point of having a site that won't allow the criticism that you did. I can see if you went over the line, but I read your post and it didn't seem like it to me. Maybe, I'm just used to reading posts here and that your post there didn't phase me.

What would be interesting is to see how they would react to someone posting essentially the same things you posted but it be a poster that has more posts than you.

As a UT grad I am embarrassed by the attitude of that board and admin. I had always thought of much of the spirit in the University that is enduring is the openness to the free expression of ideas. It wasn't like you were offensive, vulger or attacked Simms manhood, you talked about his football performance for Pete's sake, rock on JBIIRockets.

 

I sure as hell didn't boo, and I'd have loved to see Applewhite all year rather than that overrated Simms.

I actually embarassed the hell out of Major and our friend that was there by screaming at the "fans" who were booing.

 

I went back there to read the latest posts, and I saw this one from some guy named JSolomonFanClub:

My opinion of that site just got even lower after reading that comment, and my opinion of it wasn't favorable in the first place. Then someone else posted a picture of Chris Simms with the heisman trophy in the background!!

That was so ridiculous that I really don't know whether to laugh, shake my head, or what.

What's funny is the difference of opinions that seem to divide the UT alums from its students.

I have several friends who go to UT, and they pretty much all agree that Simms isn't close to Applewhite.

However, it is the alums who seem to get pissed at the notion that Christopher can't hold Major's jock.

The blue-haired alums are the ones who are pissed off about their team blowing it, and the only people they release their anger to are the ones who want Major at QB (most students).

 

Funny thing is HornFans BBS is unfiltered. You can type whatever you want. That is unless you criticize UT. You type about beastiality and they would laugh. You type that Simms had a bad game and should be benched, and you get flamed.

I can understand banning Aggies and Sooners who want to start trouble (trolls) but Longhorns who want discussion are not trolls.

Then they say well Chris is an amateur student athlete representing our University.

No one is trashing Chris Simms the person. We are just showing them statistics on why he shouldn't be our QB and will never lead us to a MNC. How is that being a troll? Isn't a BBS a place for discussion?

They got no response that's why they will edit your posts. They know it but don't accept it. Simms is not good.

I would never boo anyone in burnt orange. Just like I would never boo a Rocket. As long as they're trying their best and are morally sound, I just can't get myself to do it.

It isn't Chris's fault that Major is better than him.

IMO the students don't like Simms. You should have seen the **** that happened at my friends apartment complex. It was raining yet people came out of the apartments and started chanting Simms f'ing sucks.

We went into the game all cocky talking about Rose Bowl and BCS. We forgot about our weakness.

We forgot that Simms was 0 tds 4 ints vs. OU. Or how about 0 tds 4 ints vs. Oregon. We aren't playing in Austin. The Rose Bowl is not in Austin.

I don't care how good your team is, you can't win by giving away points.

Hopefully Mack does the right thing. I'm not saying we will beat Washington starting Major at QB, however Major has earned his PT. Simms has not.
