My last year I was 10. I think its a good stopping age. I think once you are a teenager it is ridiculous to continue doing so.

Not to mention its way better to give out the candy. You choose your own candy, you eat while giving it out, you keep what is left, and you do no walking to get it.

Probably until high school, maybe even the first year or so of high school. Honestly, I don't really care.

If there's grass on the field, you no longer play.

Unfortunately for my 5-yr old son, he's allergic to nuts...but not enough that having Reece's in his bag will affect him. So, I get to trick-or-treat by proxy. I get all of the peanut butter goodness to myself.

I believe Middle school or later is too old... somewhere on your 7th and 8th grade you start to separate yourself from the younger trick-or-treaters and get together with the older kids who go later at night.

At a younger age, you walk with your parents.

As a baby, you're too young to trick-or-treat.
As a toddler, your parents carry you to trick-or-treat.
As a preteen, your walk with your older and younger siblings to trick-or-treat.
As a teen, you go with your teen friends later to trick-or-treat.
As a post-teen, you wait until your younger siblings bring you their trick-or-treat.
As an adult, you do not trick or treat.
The cycle repeats with your kids.

Better give them a treat or you'll get tricked.

I'd say somewhere in high school you stop going. At 11 or 12, you stop getting dressed up.

if your asking on clutchfans, you're too old.

jk, i stopped when i was in sixth grade, kids in junior high start to feel too cool for it..

if you're still trick or treating in high school you have younger siblings or you actively play world of warcraft and or yu-gi-oh

I'm at repeating this cycle with my girls.

It's similar to the one about Santa Claus:
"There are four stages of life; 1) You believe in Santa Claus. 2) You don't believe in Santa Claus. 3) You are Santa Claus. 4) You look like Santa Claus."

Wait... what? Oh danggit. I guess this explains why Santa never comes to our house. And here I thought it was because my kids had been bad.
