    Ouch, thats no good....

03.11.05- During accelerated rehabilitation from right knee surgery, Houston Rockets guard Charlie Ward sustained a minor injury to a calf vein resulting in a small blood clot. As a result, he will be treated with oral blood thinners for the next 3-4 months by Rockets team physician Dr. James Muntz, an expert in the field of circulation disorders. Ward will resume active rehabilitation in a couple of weeks but will be required to stay away from all contact activities during his treatment for the blood clot.

DANG! Our hope for beating Florida and Miami and the BCS is gone. I mean, GONE!

Note: Get well, Ward. I wish you the best.

That's a shame.I might be in the minority, but I actually thought we would get something out of Ward when he came back.

Bad for Ward, good for the Rocks if they waive him or if Ward retires b/c of this injury...insurance picks up his salary if he quits for medical reasons (OR I THINK SO).

It doesn't matter. If he retires due to health reason, his salary will come off our book after next season, which is when it expires anyway(the season after that is a team option, which no way in the world we would pick it up). So, no matter what, Ward's status won't affect our cap situation.

I wish the guy nothing but the best and hope he gets well, but at this point I think it's safe to say nothing positive has come out of the Ward signing and it has been a complete disaster.

I hope he will get well. He is a courageous player who deserves credit for trying hard.

I hope he improves and makes a good recovery.

I have dogged him pretty bad for being a slow player with now game left-Seriously I do not understand why he was signed....

Get Well soon Mr. Ward - then retire...bbbbb

With all the trade talk around here, for a brief millisecond I read this title as "Charlie Ward to be Traded for Blood Clot".

Is Clot a PG or PF? I like his first name...

Hey, if we can get him healthy somehow... he's still better than Moochie.
