Houston Rockets 40th Anniversary Logo - Anyone else seen this?

    I just came across this on the web and wondered if anyone else had seen it. Apparently it's our 40th anniversary logo.

    Was doing a search for rockets logos for something and that was part of their site they also had the 20th anniversary which was with our old red and gold logo.

    I have never seen it posted or anything and the person that had updated the logo did it on the 7th of this month so it must be fairly new.

    That took all of about 2 minutes in Photochop, so I doubt it's anything more than the marketing department's people just throwing something together.

    are the rockets established in 1971 or 1967? because the two logos don't agree. one, or two of them, must be fake.

    71 was when the team moved to Houston for the 71-72 season

    67-68 was the first year for the franchise is San Diego California
