    Where's the cheapest place to stay in Houston? Anything around 30 a night?

    There are a few lousy motels on I-45 that are/were around $ 30. Greenspoint Inn was one that used to be really cheap, opposite of Greenspoint Mall.

    Go to priceline and give them a $30 bid on a 3 star. I think you'd get a place that you could take your shoes off in.
