With Rudy out as coach, like other threads, I'd really like to see Larry Brown come onboard. I'm sure he could mold our talent into a great team in 2-3 years. If he leaves in 4-5, at least he's taught them how to play together and maybe won a championship.

I believe he also might convince Steve to move to SG and find a true PG. This might have Mobes moving on or accepting 6th man role again, but that might be for the best.

"In crisis, there is opportunity." Maybe the departure of Rudy the Rockets' icon can become an opportunity to take a fresh look at our team and figure out which personnel fit and which don't.

Would he bring Eric Snow with him?

    JoeB,

Maybe...not sure if Snow is FA. However, if not Snow another PG w/defensive skills.

With Stevie playing the Kobe role and Yao expanding his game this could be a real exciting team.

Steve and Mobes are both really SGs and with them in the backcourt, it limits shot ops for others. Of course if they understand that winning comes with better distribution and team play, we could keep them together. Arguably Mobes modified his game somewhat last season.

I missed second half of season, engagement is Iraq, but he seemed a bit less prone to be a black hole in the games I saw in the first half.

good point Shark44, Steve Francis is a solid PG but would be a great SG. We need a point guard who thinks pass first, score second.
